Kulim is a city laying on the borders of Kedah state, and only a short drive away from Bukit Mertajam and Butterworth of Penang state. Once a mining town for tin ore, the most famous landmark in Kulim would be the independence clock officiated by the Sultan of Kedah back in the 1950’s. Kulim has also established a Hi-tech park being developed and promoted as an integrated science park for technology.
One of the hidden gem of Kulim is the Sungai Sedim Recreational Forest.
