Day 1

Day 2

After breakfast and check-out, embark on a scenic 3-hour journey to Turpan. First, visit Wulabo Ancient City, an old city site that offers a glimpse into the region’s rich history. Continue to Chaiwopu Lake, known for its calm waters and scenic views, before stopping at the Salt Lake, a unique natural phenomenon where salt is extracted. Explore Dabancheng Wind Power Station and Asia’s largest windmill field, an impressive sight with towering wind turbines, symbolizing sustainable energy. Enjoy stunning views of the Tianshan Mountains and the Gobi Desert.

Upon arrival in Turpan, have lunch at a local restaurant, then visit Flaming Mountains, a famous location from Journey to the West, known for its scorching heat and red, flame-like rocks. Explore Jiaohe Ancient City, a historic Silk Road fortress with ancient ruins, where you can take a shuttle bus to visit the site. Visit the Karez Well, an ancient water system, before enjoying dinner at a local restaurant. Finally, check in at the Vienna Hotel for a relaxing overnight stay in Turpan.
