Named after the reigning and the fifth ruler of Pahang, Sultan Ahmad Shah Airport is the airport serving the Pahang state, and an important gateway to the infamous Cherating Club Med. It is located approximately 15 km from Kuantan, the capital city of the state. Its IATA code is “KUA”, and ICAO code is “WMKD”.

How to travel between Sultan Ahmad Shah Airport and Kuantan

By taxi:

Taxis to Kuantan town are available just outside the airport terminal building. One-way trip from airport to Kuantan town should cost around RM15 to RM20.

Airport Transfer:

Passengers can pre-arrange with tour agencies for transfer services before arriving at Kuantan. One-way transfer costs around RM90 to RM160 for up to 3 pax, and around RM140 to RM235 for up to 6 pax.
