Itinerary:

Day 1

Arrive at Penang Airport before lunch, then enjoy lunch at your own expense. Visit the largest Buddhist temple in Malaysia, Kek Lok Si Temple, before taking an exciting ride on the Penang Hill Funicular Train to Penang Hill.

Afterwards, stroll down Gurney Street, a popular esplanade and entertainment hub offering attractions, shopping and food. Then, transfer to the hotel for check-in and an overnight stay in Penang.

  • Depart to Kek Lok Si Temple
  • Take Penang Hill Funicular Train to Penang hill

Day 2

In the morning, board the pickup and transfer to the Betong Border, stopping en route for breakfast at your own expense. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch at your own expense before making a photo stop at OK Betong, an iconic landmark signifying your arrival in Betong. Then, stroll around Betong Municipality Park and be treated to breathtaking city views from Sud Siam Park.

Walkthrough the Betong Mongkollit Tunnel, Thailand’s first and longest road tunnel, to the Betong Chicken Statue, a symbol of the town itself. In the evening, explore Betong Night Market Hawker Street for dinner on your own before transferring to your hotel for check-in and an overnight stay in Betong.

Day 3

Start the day early with a 4:30 AM departure for Ayerweng, arriving at Skywalk Ayerweng just before sunrise. There are 2 viewing stations for guests to experience the breathtaking Sea of Clouds. When done, return to Betong City for breakfast at the hotel, followed by a photo stop at Betong’s World’s Largest Mailbox, located in the heart of the city. Continue with sightseeing and a photo stop at the Winter Flower Garden, a beautiful floral landscape 30 minutes from the city centre.

Then, visit the historic Piyamit Tunnel, a stronghold previously utilised by the Communist Party of Malaya. Nearby is the Piyamit Millennium Tree, a giant 1000-year-old tree. Later, enjoy shopping at BM Super Centre, known for its wholesale groceries and snacks. End the day by returning to the hotel to relax and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

  • 4:30 AM: Depart for Ayerweng
  • Arrive at Skywalk Ayerweng (just before sunrise)
  • Enjoy Sea of Clouds (Sea of Mist) – there are 2 viewing stations
  • Return to Betong City
  • Back to hotel for breakfast

Day 4

Begin the day with breakfast at the hotel before checking out and visiting the Betong Wet Market to explore local treats like fresh fruits, clothes, souvenirs and food. Transfer to the Betong Border and journey back to Penang. Upon arrival, enjoy some free time exploring Penang Street Art and Armenian Street before transferring to Penang Airport, marking the end of your tour.

  1. The 2 of us would like to go from Penang to Betong for 2N F&E ie just 1-way transportation from our Penang hotel in Penang Road to Betong hotel for 2N ie from 4-6 Mar 2024.

    Kindly quote your price for 2 pax , 1-way and also 2-way PEN-Betong. Thanks.
