By taxi:

By bus:

To get to Sandakan town by bus, passengers need to walk for about 400 meters from the Sandakan Airport. Get out of the airport and look for a big roundabout at the right. Bus stop is located right after the roundabout. One-way bus fare costs RM2. Bus service is available until 5 or 6 pm.

By rental car:

As the public transportation system in Sandakan is not very comprehensive, passengers may want to consider car rental. Car rental companies available at the airport include Borneo Express and Hertz. Passengers can rent sedans, SUVs, and MPVs, daily rate is in the range of RM130 to RM930. Chauffeur services and airport transfers are also available.
