Melaka is situated on the southwestern coast of Peninsular Malaysia. It is 144km from the capital city Kuala Lumpur, 90km from Port Dickson and 224km away from Johor Bahru. Travel options to Melaka is diversified as this heritage city can be accessed by air, road, rail or sea.
Melaka Airport is located at about 10km away from Melaka City, taxis and city buses can be easily obtained from the airport that connects to numerous parts of the state. For visitors arriving at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport can either take a taxi, bus or private transfer to Melaka.
Melaka is connected with North South Expressway and the expressway offers easy access to most of the attractions in Melaka. Simpang Ampat, Ayer Keroh and Lipat Kajang exits are some of the popular gateway to the attractions.

Malayan Railway (KTMB) provides regular rail services between Tampin and various parts of Malaysia. Tampin rail station is about 38km away from Melaka city centre, buses and taxis are the most popular transports to travel between the station and city centre.
