Itinerary:

Day 1

Pick up from your hotel or airport and enjoy a scenic journey to Kinabalu Park Headquarters. Along the way, stop at Nabalu Market, a popular spot for local handicrafts, fresh fruits and beautiful views of Mount Kinabalu. Upon arrival, check in to your Kinabalu Park accommodation. Enjoy dinner before an overnight stay surrounded by the cool mountain atmosphere.

  • 12:30 PM  Pick up from the hotel lobby / Airport
  • 2 hours journey depart to Kinabalu Park Headquarter
  • Brief stop at Nabalu Market
  • Check into Kinabalu Park Lodging (ROH)
  • Enjoy dinner
  • Overnight & rest

Meal Plan: Dinner

Day 2

Enjoy breakfast at Balsam Restaurant and collect your packed lunch before proceeding to Kinabalu Park Headquarters for registration. From there, transfer to Timpohon Gate, the starting point of your Mount Kinabalu climb. Hike through the scenic mountain trail to Laban Rata at an elevation of 3,272 metres, where you will check in to your mountain accommodation. Enjoy dinner and rest in preparation for the summit climb the next day.

  • 6:30 AM Breakst at Balsam Restaurant
    • Collect your packed lunch from the restaurant
  • Proceed to Kinabalu Park HQ office for registration
  • Transfer to Timpohon Gate
  • 5:00 PM Expected to be arrived at Laban Rata @3,272m
  • Check in accommodation
  • Enjoy dinner
  • Overnight & rest

Day 3

Wake up early and enjoy a light meal before starting your climb to Low’s Peak, the highest point of Mount Kinabalu at 4,095 metres. Enjoy the beautiful sunrise and amazing views from the summit.

After reaching the top, make your way back to Laban Rata for breakfast before checking out and continue your hike back to Timpohon Gate. Collect your climbing certificate and enjoy lunch at Balsam Restaurant. After lunch, transfer back to your hotel in Kota Kinabalu. This marks the end of your tour.

  • 2:00 AM Take upper at restaurant
  • 2:30 AM Ascend to summit of Mt. Kinabalu – The Low’s Peak @4,095m
  • Descend for returning to Laban Rata
  • Breakfast at the restaurant
  • Check out and descend to Timpohon Gate
  • 1:30 PM Expected arrival at Timpohon Gate
  • Collect certificate
  • Take lunch at Balsam Restaurant

  • Maximum weight PER PORTER is 10 Kgs and additional weight will be charged base on daily rate Per Kg.

  • Payments are to be paid directly to the porter by CASH.
  • Please carry with you, things that you will require during ascending/descending as your porter will not trek along with you.

Things You Should Prepare For Mountain Climb:
  1. Waterproof backpack to store your items
  2. Trekking or running shoe with good grip
  3. Warm clothing/Long sleeves shirt/Hiking pants
  4. Jacket/Wind breaker
  5. Extra clothing and socks
  6. Small towel
  7. Hand gloves and winter hat
  8. Disposable raincoats
  9. Head torch
  10. Personal toiletries
  11. Refillable water bottle (0.5 – 1 Litre)
  12. High energy food such as chocolates, nuts, biscuits, sweets, energy bars
  13. Your extra luggage can be stored at Kinabalu Park HQ at a nominal fee of MYR 12 per piece prior climb.

  • ONE scheduled shuttle from PHQ to Kota Kinabalu which is @ 3 PM
  • Request for early or late transfer to the city, is considered unscheduled and additional cost applies to arrange transportation for returning to Kota Kinabalu.
  • Please bring along your original documents i.e valid passport/IC for the climb registration.
  • Climbers who reached Timpohon Gate after 1600hrs, a fee of RM 15.00 per hour/guide is chargeable and to be paid directly to the mountain guide on the spot.
  • Water at Laban Rata is not treated. For safe drinking water, bottled water is available for sale at Laban Rata shop.
  • Check in time at Laban Rata is 1300hrs and check out time is 1030hrs the following day
  • An additional charge of RM 100.00 per hour will be imposed for any check out later than 1030hrs
  • Additional surcharges will be applied for replacement of climbers/ reduction of group size
  • Before attempting the climb up Mount Kinabalu, please refrain from doing so if you have a history of certain medical conditions such as heart disease, hypertension, chronic asthma, obesity, peptic ulcer, severe anemia, diabetes, epileptic fits, arthritis, heart palpitation, hepatitis/jaundice, or muscular cramps, or if you have any other conditions that could be aggravated by cold, exertion, or high altitude.
