Manjung is a district in the Southwestern part of the Perak state in Malaysia. It is also home of the Royal Malaysian Navy (TLDM) Lumut Naval Base and dockyard. Seri Manjung is the district’s principal urban center hence it housed the government buildings like the Municipal Council Office, National Registration Office and more. Other smaller towns are Lumut, Sitiawan, Ayer Tawar, Pantai Remis and Beruas. The majority of people here involved in agriculture, services and manufacturing sectors. Manjung is well known for its livestock supply of chicken and fishermen still play an important role in the economic activities.

How to get there:

If you are coming from Kuala Lumpur, do use the North-South Highway for 3 hours’ drive before you reach Manjung. If you prefer to board the bus, there are bus services provided by Plusliner and Sri Maju Expressway. For those coming from Penang, it would takes about 2 and a half hours to get to Manjung on the North-South Highway. As for bus services, there are daily buses from Penang to Manjung by Sri Maju Express.
