Alor Gajah covers an area of 660 square kilometers and there are more than 140,000 people living in the town. Alor Gajah is located 24 kilometers away from Melaka town and has turned into one of the main access to Malacca through North-South Highway.

Alor Gajah is mostly accessible via the North-South Highway. It takes about 1 and a half hour s to drive from Kuala Lumpur, almost 2 hours from Johor and around 6 hours from Penang. As for those who prefer to come by bus, upon arrival, you will stop at Alor Gajah Express Bus Terminal located at Jalan Dato Mohd Zin.
