Bidor is a small town located in the state of Perak, between Ipoh and Kuala Lumpur. Bidor is an industrial area, where miles and miles of rubber and palm oil plantations can be seen along the trunk roads leaving Bidor.
Bidor is perhaps most famously known for its duck-thigh noodle and wanton mee, local delicacies associated to the popular Pun Chun Restaurant. Food enthusiast will brave the outrageously long wait just for a table in this decades old restaurant. Another famous food attraction is the Kopi Kau Special from Ah Pu Coffee Shop, which is said to have a distinctive whiskey after taste. Other food also includes local fruits such as seedless Guava and Durian, as well Petai that are ever popular with the older generation.
