Kulim is a city laying on the borders of Kedah state, and only a short drive away from Bukit Mertajam and Butterworth of Penang state. Once a mining town for tin ore, the most famous landmark in Kulim would be the independence clock officiated by the Sultan of Kedah back in the 1950’s.
