Sik is a small town in the state of Kedah, Malaysia. It is located on the eastern part of the state and is bordered by Thailand to the north. The population here is estimated about 65,000 people with majority the Malay ethnic, followed by Chinese, Indian and some other local natives. Sik got its name from the Arabian word “Syed”, it is named Sik due to the local farmers pronounced “Syed” as Sik.

How to get there:

To get to Sik, it is approximately 5 hours from Kuala Lumpur by car. As by bus, visitors may get on the Maraliner Express Bus departing at Puduraya, Kuala Lumpur. There are 2 trips daily getting to Sik, one in the morning and another in the evening. The bus will stop at Sik Express Bus Terminal located at the Sik town centre.
